Iv'e had 8k HID's for about 2 months now and i love them, but the damn things keep flickering every now and then cause the only way they get power is two little clamps that go inside the stock headlight plug in. I put electric tape on them every now and then to stay put but eventually it wares off. They don't click in the plug in, so how do you guys cope with this problem? (boom06)

Get an HID Relay Harness and that should cure your flickering issues. A cheap investment for your HIDs to get steady power to the ballasts IMO. Also you might want to get some spacers for the bulbs so that they'll seat into the headlight housings a little more securely. It'll take some minor modification with a dremel to get them to fit really well.

yea i was going to buy the spacers but what do i need a relay harness for? and its not the ballasts, its the flat thigns that plug into this. they get loose and wiggle around

ya I think you guys have the wrong idea.

cut off 'dem connectors (keep them handy though) and solder/heat shrink. Or take the connector out, de-pin and bend them tighter or something...
I grounded mine right to the battery, mostly so I could bypass the DRL, but they got brighter!

yea i never thought about that, hahha. but your screwed if you gota replace the bulb or something and you gota take that solder off.

well not the bulb, it should be separable from the ballast.. truth however, lol doesn't bother me though, my soldering iron is always close by
