the Stance Thread v2.0

Hey all,

Just tryna get more confirmations that 18x8.5 38 on 225/40/18 will fit on a mazda 3 gen 2, 2.0? I'm willing to roll fenders (if needed). And will this setup require alot of work? I'll be installing corksport coilovers at the same time when i get the rims.

Thanks

The rears are about -4.8 right now and just a tad more in the front. I want to go lower in the front but at the moment I daily drive this and its nice not rubbing. The rears do rub on the outer rim protector lip on the tires. I need to roll the rears a little better to get rid of that. But it only rubs on some wicked bumps, pot holes, etc.. on the road. The fronts do not rub at all on turns or bumps.

Nice. Sounds kinda like how mine is set up. I am lower in the front though and it does rub at full lock turns. Only running -1.5* up front though and -3.5* out back. Looks great though man, love those wheels.

im hoping so^ its crazy how much clearance im able to get with these flares. Anyways how'd your car come out, i know you had some stuff powder coated but i havent seen any final pics surface yet?

Do you have spacers or something in that pic?

They don't seem like they poke that much in your other pics with stock fenders.

ya i have spacers on there to match the width of the fenders because i dont have wider tires yet.

Ever since I drove weaksauce's car iv dreamed of this exact set up. Big props to you!

Ok cool. That's looking mean. Can't wait to see the finished product.

That looks awesome. What about the rears?

still working on the rears, got one of the 2 sides done
in the mean time mock up was being done, I was trying to see if I could pull off the ff time attack look. Since more traction is needed on the front wheels rather than the rear. The rears are being done more to balance the look out more than anything...at least for me anyways.

Make sense! If you really want to be super FF TA status, then keep your 17's in the front and go 16's in the rear with 0 camber. 17x9.5 front with 245's and 16x7.5 rear with 215's would look awesome.

haha ya that would be tight to do, i am planning on running either a 235/40 or 245/40 tire up front though.
and heres a pic of the rear
