Well, since I've been wrenching on this thing quite a bit lately, I figured I'd give it a thread. It's something different, you don't see too many of them, and it's just damn fun to drive.

Stuff I've bought for it.

First up... the wheels. 14x6.5" BBS wheels from an early 80's E24 6-series.

Recently finished the valve cover. Black crinkle paint. Many of the older guys don't like it, but I do.

I took a few photos last night. Service here in the building is too bad to upload to Flickr right now. I shall shortly though.

You get it started today?

Yeah, I did. Turns out that the fuse that is dedicated for the fuel gauge and coolant temperature gauge also acts as an interrupt in the starter circuitry. Makes no sense, but hey, whatever. Replaced the fuse, the car started right up. Now... to figure out why my dash lights aren't working. All interior lights but the gauge cluster work. That's recent too...

Took the car to the local tire shop to have the tires removed from the steelies and re-mounted to the BBS wheels. Should have pictures after work.

Well, hows about an update.

It cooked another alternator. Not sure why. Something's goofy. Waiting on the replacement right now.

Do some gangsta drive by's in Deustchelanddddddd rollin 4 deep with steins of Pilsner, and some Walther PPKs hanging out the windows yodeling!!!

Hahahahahaha. Nice.

I think that would fit in with the Senior Six Registry's way of life too. I'll have to discuss it with the elders.
