Getting a "pop" noise on the front/right when going over bumps. Blown strut or stabilizer links? The links were replaced back at 24K miles, now at 46K.

I found answers to this elsewhere on this forum, some months ago. Here are 2 good links I found while looking:
http://www.finishlineperformance.com/pdf/mazda5/bulletin/02-001-08-1918.pdf
(This one addresses issues with both front and rear, with different complaints/sounds. Read through to the "table" that helps narrow down the likely solution for you.)

Also found this, but haven't checked it on my van yet to see if this works:
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=115025&d=1187880196
(This assumes the issue is in the cowling under the hood.)

Otherwise, it might be a shock issue, which I haven't had to deal with yet. If that's the case, it sounds like the last thing you want to do is go with OEM shocks. Go aftermarket. And comb this forum for advice that has already been posted on that.

Good luck.

Curious if you found the source of the noise. I have noticed a noise on the front driver-side that the dealership hasn't duplicated.

Pretty sure it will be the sway bar bushings. Mine are 100% shot. Sounds like an old jalopy on 60 y.o. neighborhood streets. Brand new struts, and the shop installing them confirmed my bushings were the noise, even though I never brought it up.

I haven't run into this issue yet but fully expect to in the next year or two.

If the fix is new bushings, are there heavy duty bushings that can be used?

I just had them replaced for the second time. The dealer said they were redesigned again, but I guess I have to wait another 35k miles to find out if these are any better.
