Anyone else hear about this!?

So Im not sure exactly how I feel about this. Im wondering about the range extender alot. I hope the power from this doesnt come out lagging and whinning like an electric engine, but more like an electric FI system. All I can think about was my dads old civic hybrid and its whopping 85 + 9 hp haha.

Im liking this concept pic a lot. I know mitsubishi has taken a turn for the more aggressive look, so I hope this is also what mazda is doing. I think 16x with range extender (someone pls ellaborate on that), MX-5 platform, etc. Hope this car isnt too small!

I did see that image a while back and reading something about the sky rotary being better on fuel than a 2.0 4 cylinder.

I think we all just wait I could deffinately see myself in that concept sketch.

I'd much rather they aimed for hp over everything. with little electronic aids.

I agree, I'm not too comfortable with this electric powered by a rotory idea.

The latest Car&Driver Magazine has an article about AUDI using the Rotary engine as a hybrid generator.
