Will the 02 Mazda p5 roof racks fit on my 03 mp5? I have the model that came without it. Will it just bolt up? Or do I have to make any special mods?

They didn't make a 2001 Protege5, only Protege sedans. Unless is was a Japan only thing that I don't know about.

Correct sir and I don't think the sedans ever came from the factory with a rack.

Not too sure. Never taken mine off. I know the cross members are held on by 2 screws on each side per cross member. The whole installation requires you to take the roof liner inside, out. There is a how-to around here somewhere that shows how to install the factory rood rack.
