SCCV Ice Racing in Colchester VT tomorrow (Sunday 2/27)

Gonna grab a hotel room w/ a friend so I don't have to drive in the morning. Motel6 is $49/night.

It was a boatload of fun.

I borrowed my sister's "that damn Audi", 88 Audi Quattro. If I spent over a week's worth of time working on the damn thing, I might as well get some play out of it.

Whoa, AWD is awesome in the snow! Damn that thing launched full throttle in 1st gear on ice. I was not quite cool enough to point wheels at apex and floor it to pull me in, but I did some of it, and often times when the car went sideways, it was awesome to just floor it and have it stick.

I actually did pretty well in my category, beat my friend's Evo (the horsepower was probably hurting him).

My friend took some videos, those will probably be up in a few days.

Here are some pics from various peeps. This album has a ton of pics.

Some people had crazy ass spikes:

Yeah, I bet its a lot more fun with those spiked tires.

Looks like fun though. The last time I went with the BMW club wasn't that great. No snow mean no grip. It was complete glare ice and no amount of throttle or brake could control the car.
