2002 Protege5 2.0 JDM engine swap/ automatic Transmission issue

I installed a JDM 2.0 motor. after a short test drive the trans just quit. No forward no reverse. Trans had over 100k on it, so I installed another one with 50k. went on a test drive and it was fine. Next day I pulled the car in to change the alternator. Finished the alternator and went to pull out of the garage, same problem. No forward No reverse. Does anyone know of any problems with installing a JDM engine to a US market trans? I know I have no fluid pressure, but not sure why... Anyone have any clues or heard anything about this???

The transmission is controlled by the ECU. The only difference in the USDM and JDM automatic transmission is the final drive is lower on the JDM. If your wiring harness and ECU match there should not be any issues. I would suspect that you have a bad connection or pinched wire.
