These things don't last forever and seem to eventually clog up. With a carb car, unvented vapor pressure in the gas tank can push gas through the fuel pump and carb. This floods the carb and can make for a rough start-up as well as a "dry start".

So what can happen in a fuel injected car if the canister clogs up ? Is there a trouble code for this ? How can I test it on my P5 to know if it has to be replaced or not ? (whitep5)http://static.mazdas247.com/smilies/whiteprotege5smiley.gif

You should get a code (or codes) if the canister is defective.
