My battery keeps dying, so I am off to get a new one. This one lasted 8 years
for me, so that is fantastic! Anyways, I got a new battery and 2 gauge cables
ran to the starter, then 4g to the fuse block in my RX7. This helped IMMENSELY
with my cranking and starting! I want to run some 4g for the Protege, but not
sure how long I will need it?

Yes, I did search, but came up with thousands of threads from battery lights
being on to handbrake cable adjustment.

Thanks guys!

yeah i used some 4 gauge i think to tie in the grounds, ghetto "earth grounding system" basically. i also redid the positive batt cable to the fuse block, it's not long at all foot and a half, if that. just go out and get like 12-15 feet. should be good for you. i wanna do my alt and starter as well, but i'm waiting for a good amount of time so i can open up the stock harness and make it look clean... shoulda just did it when i had the motor out, ugh, lesson learned.
