2008 CX-9 Bluetooth problems...

I have a Samsung Vibrant (Samsung Galaxy) that I'm trying to sync with my just acquired 2008 CX-9 (GT w/nav).

I followed the instructions and got the phone paired. It works fine, I can take calls, and probably start importing contacts.

My issue however, is when I turn off the car -- my phone doesn't pair automatically when I turn the car back on. In order to get it to pair, I have to make my phone show up as "visible", then force the pairing on my phone. The car doesn't do it automatically. Oddly enough, it works fine in my other car (2007 Lexus IS350).

Any ideas here? I'm running out of ideas, and my wife and I have the exact same phone with the same issue. I'm still within warranty period, so if it's something that I can get fixed, I'd like to. Or perhaps there's something I'm missing, so I figured I'd start here.

Thanks!

Very strange. Since you both have the same phone, maybe it's something with the phone? Try a neighbors phone as a test (different model/make for sure).

Also, did you delete the previous owners registered phones and start from scratch? Maybe thismight help.

I have an 2008 GT AWD with NAVI.
I just got a newest Moto Droid-X, which works with my CX9' BT seamlessly.
I am guessing it is not the CX9, but the firmware issue of Samsung.
(You do know that there is an open issue with Galaxy's GPS firmware, don't you?)

Check your Galaxy's BT (Android, right?) settings.
With Android 2.1:
- go to "settings" app/widget
- touch "Wirelss & network"
- touch "Bluetooth settings"
- touch "Bluetooth" (to turn it on if not already)
- check others settings
If your CX9 has been paired with your Galaxy, there should be
-------------------------------
"Mazda"
Paired but not connected
-------------------------------
at the bottom.

This is as much as I can help.
Good luck.

P.S. auto-reconnect and connection-drop are two major issues with BT.
Very often than not, the issue is the fireware of the phones. I have used BT for more
than 5 years on various vehicles. Contact or check with Samsung website (or AT&T) for fireware update.

My phones are sometimes slow pairing with my '08, have you given it a minute or so to see if it pairs, or tried hitting the phone button on the steering wheel a couple of times?

Also, keep a distance (such as left-right pockets - not the same pocket) between your phone and SmartKey. They interfere each other.

Happened with my 2nd (replacement) Droid Inc. I deleted the phone profiles in my car and then deleted that on the phone. Then readded. The problem was then corrected.

Just like what it is with PC, sometimes, the best way is to reboot.
In this case, delete the pairing and redo the pairing.

I have a 2008 GT with NAV. The BT used to work fine, but recently it doesn't automatically pair with either my iphone 6 or my wife's. I deleted all previously paired phones and paired again. I also unplugged the module in attempt to reset. My phone pairs sometimes, but my wife's doesn't pair automatically(it did complete the pairing sequence).

I'm not sure if this issue is new with our iphone 6's, I suppose I can find an old 5 or 4 to test.

Do the BT modules fail? I looked on Mazda parts and it costs $400. Ugh.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
