would i have to get a tune up on the 03 protege es engine if i just put it in my msp and then just bolt up my stock turbo setup on it?
or would it be ok?

If you are swapping motors, then yes a 'tune-up' as in new plugs, wires, coils, filters and fluids would be recommended.

of course.
i dont have to get the motor tuned for the turbo or nothing do i?


(msp motor)
the motor still works but sounds really bad when i start it up.
i will post a video when it stops raining here.

They are the same block. Just minor differences in oil pickups, etc... to accommodate the turbo. The ECU "tunes" for the turbo, tho. If that's what you're asking. (shrug)

Search in the "Protege, Familia" section and you will find loads of info... The P5 section has a sticky for adding boost to the N/A FS-DE motor.
