Ok I know I drive a Mazda 5 but the motor is the same and I'm pretty sure the intakes are the same. I added a CAI and when I had the Fujita it worked fine for a while( 6 months) and then the car started bucking so I took it off and put the factory air box back on with a K&N filter with no resonator. I decided to get a cheaper CAI from ebay and it works great when I'm in gear but when I put it in reverse it shuts off, even with the factory air box the 5 would stutter in reverse and almost shut off but wouldnt, Any ideas WTF this could be? I replaced all the plugs and the MAF sensor and the check engine light is on and will turn off if i drive for so many miles but once I put it in reverse and shuts off , it comes back on....Gonna go check on the code to see if its the same one I got when it was bucking ( it was something about a air leak or vacuum leak or something like that )
