Reverse Lights wont work?

I have to get my car inspected soon and my reverse lights are out but Ive changed both bulbs and no fuse is blown so where does my problem lie?

Could be a break or short in the wiring. Did you check with a voltmeter to see if the connector is getting power?

Check at the socket that its getting power if no check the fuse. if thats fine you might need to check at the plug on the transmission. Is it a auto or a stick?

Its an auto and ill have to check with a voltmeter

well for some reason none of my ground sources in my trunk want to work so i can test my socket. Anyone know of a ground sources so i can test it? ive tried my speakers - terminals but that doesnt work

Ground is the body of the car.

If you're not getting voltage to the lights and the fuses are ok, the problem is probably in the reverse sensor in the transmission that detects when the car is put in reverse so the reverse lights can be turned on. It probably plugs into the transmission somewhere.

You need one of these
