Instrument Cluster Lights Flickering

Hi everyone. I posted this on another Mazda forum and really didn't get any replies. Last week, it was raining pretty hard where I lived and I went through a few big puddles. A few days after I began to notice that my instrument cluster flickers inconsistently... it never turns off completely, but just flickers while it's on. It's very noticible when it's dark out. I was wondering how I would go about troubleshooting this? It's just my dash that's flickering, not the lights around my A/C controls or the dome lights or anything else. Maybe it's the wiring? Bad fuse? Please help!

Get your battery and alternator tested first since its free.

Remove the cluster panel (usually held in by torque heads) and check the connections for any damage...

Find a friend you can swap it with to test it if they have a mazda 3. Doesnt sound fun, going to be time consuming either way it plays out unless you buy another instrument cluster that you can take back if you dont need it.
