I have a copy of the Service Manual for my 2002 Protege ES, but it is hard for me to interpret how to replace my brake light bulbs. I think the hardest thing for me to figure out is how to remove the trunk side trim. Can anyone provide insight? I think once I can get that step done actually replacing the bulbs shouldn't be so bad.

there are black plastic push tabs.. pop out the middle with a small flat head screwdriver and they should pull right out
And don't just pull on the trim or you will break the tabs. IIRC, you will also have to unbolt the tailight to access the bulbs (three 10mm nuts).
