Now it is Mazda’s turn to do some recalls. The Japanese car builder, Mazda, has announced it will recall about 90,000 Mazda 3 units in their services in Japan and China, due to possible oil leak. Regarding the Mazda 3 vehicles sold in Europe, the third market for the group, a decision was not yet made.

The auto group will recall 35,181 vehicles in Japan and about 54,000 in China, produced between January 2006 and March 2009, according to AFP. The group received two complaints from China, and the problem was oil leaks.

The problem seems to be the oil house that was placed to close to radiator shroud panel and if you travel the car on bumpy roads, because of the friction, some oil leaks might occur.

The recall affects both hatchback and sedan versions of the car. Sold as Alexa in Japan, is a popular model too on the European market. Anyway the recalled model is not sold in the US, so the recall will not affect the American Mazda customers.

Ford Motors Company owns a big percent of Mazda’s shares, a brand that is globally known for reliability and the for the use of the Wankel engines, that made RX-7 and, now, RX-8 very popular among the rotary engines fans.

Another successful model of the Japanese brand was their Mazda MX-5, which recently received a special edition called Black and Matte.
