Painted Stockers Pics

Painted the stock wheels back on labor day and just finally decided to get the pics off my phone. A nice look back at a time when I wasn't getting a foot of snow every other week.

Painted wheels black and left the Mazda emblem on the center cap showing silver still. Pain in the ass but came out pretty good I would say. Also painted front emblem and removed rear badges. As well as re-attaching long missed passenger side skirt (not pictured). It was a good day for the P5.

Bring on SUMMER (drinks)

No pics of the rear? Rims look good, did you fill the holes where the rear badges were?

turned out nice! i use my stockers for my winter wheels, and i want to paint them bronze.

Those wheels look great!

What did you use on em? Did you sandblast?

Sanded by hand. Takes some time to get it all but gets the job done.

Few goods coats of duplicolor primer (I did 3 or 4 I think). And for the black I think it was Krylon brand. Was right next to duplicolor on the shelf at the store and looked darker...Then plenty of clear coat.

...Did a temp solution for filling those holes on the back so its a little ghetto looking at the moment. Waiting for it to be nice again to finish it right.

not bad bro..my p5 is navy blue so i was thinking about painting mines a goldish color.i have the same wheels as u

Gotcha. Just wanted to know which option P5SPDKILLZ used.

Another idea is to use Vaseline to cover the areas that you don't want painted. Works great for valve covers, probably not so much for these center caps.

Looks pretty good. Is that red and blue stuff a reflection or a decal? I cant tell.
