How To: Retrofit HID projectors into P5 headlights

I got the E55-R shrouds. I was thinking about darkening the bezel but not as dark as black tho. Here are my headlights. Should I keep the clear corners?

do what makes you happy. If you darken the shroud I think a clear corner would look funny. I'd go with even tones.. but I refer back to my first sentence.

well, currently you have a very "bright" setup. Basically everything on my car is grey.. so I'd stick with that if it were mine.. you could go either way though. do you like chrome, or would you like it to be more subtle.

Nice. Did you personally email Retrofit Source and ask when they will be back in stock? What else did you order along with the projectors?

Also ordered E55-R shrouds and the H4 bixenon harness. Got an email with tracking, guess it was for other items...also said backordered items generally can be filled in 3-5 buisness days. Already have a 35w DDM HID kit on its way here
You are gonna need to get a new set of bulbs. The Apexcone/DDM Tuning bulbs will not fit in the FX-R's without trimming which will affect the output of the bulb greatly. Look here:

The DDM ballasts require me to have the D2S adapter?
Yes, since they use a generic positive and negative connector for whichever bulb you get, with the exception of D2S. I don't even think the D2S kit comes with it, I believe you have to get them separate. Which bulb did you choose when you ordered the kit?
And you will have to get new bulbs either way. Not trying to be an ass but the DDM Tuning bulbs are junk and I'm just trying to avoid giving you headaches in the future.

Did you remove the corner lens?
I ordered the D2S kit. Did I pay extra when I didnt need to?
It was 15 bux extra
They were new Ebay Depo sedan lights so they didn't have any corner lens
