I bought an 06 5 touring new..It's nice to see the variety of aftermarket
parts available now
With 43 k I am looking at brake pads /parts for regular every day driving
Looks like great info doing a search

Welcome! I just got Mazda Value brake pads OEM for $45 for the front set and rotors I got from Lordco Auto Parts for like $100 for the front pair... definitely no problems so far.

Yah, mind you I did the install myself. Allow for about $200 for labour for pads and rotors. I had to buy $120+ in tools as it was my first time installing but what a great experience and when I have to change the pads it'll just be $45.
 
I just found the 200.00 coupon from the dealer

I think I still want after market pads and rotors

Welcome 065tour. We had the front rotors turned to cure warping. The 5 had 24000km at time of service.

Brakes work great now: strong bite, smooth stops, no problems.
