So, I have been collecting research on this for a few weeks, and all the wiring information seems very vague. I looks like everyone uses 2 ECU's to keep the stock gauges working? And or to keep the immobilizer working?

I guess my question is:
why couldn't I just do custom gauges, and run one ECU?
I only ask, because my car was an Auto Tranny and now its broke. I have been on the fence about making it a 5 speed, so I could Super charge it, but this swap looks like more fun for the money. any input would be awesome
