first if you installed HIDs in a car that did not come with HIDs the level will never be perfect due to the fact that the headlight assy is not set up to the proper pattern for HIDs.
That being said HIDs when set properly will project out in a step pattern with the drivers side being lower than the passenger side. That is to stop them from blinding oncomming traffic...
Think of the light pattern as a series of 3 steps with the drivers side being the lowest step and the pass side where the highest step would be and thats what the pattern should look like
