I might be interested in the GROM. How much is shipping to 06111?
Which model GROM is it I don't know much about the features?

I couldn't find the install paperwork but it can be downloaded here: http://www.gromaudio.com/docs//iPod_installation.pdf
Once installed, I just had to press my CD button twice and then it would be connected to the ipod. Worked great.
The total cost would be $50 including shipping....

Yeah, the stock CD player still works.
I had it installed with the head unit I have for sale here so could listen to any of the 6 CD's plus switch to my IPOD.......

I think this will only work with 2007-2008 mazda3's, another online source stated that the wiring pin-out changed mid year 2008.....

I'm almost positive it will work on any mazda 3.
From online sources it should work on any 07-09 mazda 3.....

I have just the stock single CD player with MP3 capability, so I can just swap out the stock HU with this changer? Do you have a pic of the front? Also what finish is the front, piano black or matte gray? Thanks.

Actually, you would remove your front face plate and install it on this one.

There are 4 screws on the side of the head unit and once those are removed, the whole front face with the controls and everything comes off and can be installed on this one. So it wouldn't look like anything has changed.
 
Checking on Mazda's parts site, they list 2 part numbers for the 2008 model. Not sure what the differences are. I just want to make sure that it'll work if I get it.

I found another thread mentioning this difference and it contradicts the other I found. It looks like the wiring pin-out may have changed @ the mid-year switch so if yours is a 20081/2 or newer, this probably won't work right.
Damn mazda and them switching little stuff mid-year.....
Sorry for the mis-information I found earlier.....
