so... went and got some maintenance done on the 5. needed an oil change and tire rotation. for quite a while now i had noticed vibration through the wheel which was worse at speed. the funny thing was that some days it was barely noticeable, and some days it was bad. seemed to be better once the car was warmed up. so, i wanted them to check the balance of the tires as well. since i have lifetime free balance and tire rotations, it wasnt a big deal.
so dropped the car off and went about my business. get a call a couple hours later saying it was all done. said they found a nail in the pass, rear tire. well... that might have been part of the problem. funny thing was, i had checked and filled all the tires just a month ago and no one tire was less than the others.
anyways, wife gets in the car and we drive home. no more vibrations... at all. it was smooth. not even sure what they did, but im assuming there was a balance issue and that has now been resolved. she drives like a brand new car now.
now, to just get rid of that annoying rsb squeak that is coming back. apparently lubing the stock bushings isnt really possible. when i have time i will have to get under there and check it out.
