    Changed out original rear struts - put in Kyb gas adjusts. Can already feel a difference. Not sure about doing the fronts myself.

    Washed the car after putting on the baysonr kenstyle lipkit







    Also painted the black part of the bumper. Much better than my opinion. Also wired the bumper reflectors so its wited up to my brake and parking light

    Just pull out the panels and the radio and then remove the plastic cover by pushing it inside the radio. Don't try to pul it out.

    Then i glued black fabric on to the bottom and the walls of the opening.

    Realigned and rebuilt my shifter assembly, and swapped the rubber shift mount bushings for a few washers epoxied together. This is no easy thing to get to on a 5 with a rear center console - some of those fasteners are in really awful places.

    Anyway, it's never been quite right. Tore it apart and regreased it, tightened up the shifter mounts, replaced some rubber that was starting to perish (on the shift centering spring) and it seems vastly improved. Anyone who's having issues getting into 1/2/R regularly on a 6mt - there is a Mazda3 TSB that covers this exact problem (05-007/13, "HARD TO SHIFT INTO GEARS") and the fix is the same.

    Replaced the passenger side motor mount for the 2nd time. Engine was vibrating like crazy after start up, when sitting in gear and, obviously, on acceleration. It didn't leak like you would expect. Comparing it to the new one, the center section of the bad one had settled about a 1/2" or so (looking at the gap between it and the top of the mount/brace). Quick test drive after install and all was smooth once more.

    Reinstalled the Hella horns. I didn't do a good job the first time and one of the connections had come loose. I fixed that, moved some of the wiring around, and installed the relay that comes with them. Also replaced the in-cabin air filter at ~103k miles.

    Not exactly today but in the passed 2 weekends. I got the 2nd row middle seat installed which was on my wanted list since day one.

    Yesterday I got a pair of Mazdaspeed 3 seats. Today I was able to get the driver seat installed. It is SOOOOOOO much more comfortable to drive now.

    Fixed the pics. The mod is not that hard.

    The plastic tray has to be remove and trimmed to fit the hinge of the bottom piece. There is a line on the tray already. The hinge was riveted to the original seat base which has to be cut off and replaced with some bolts and nuts. The US seat base have those holes pre-drilled which is nice and installation is straight forward.

    The back piece is a little different which involving swapping the frame of the back piece where the hinge and a "C" hook for the new seat welded on it. The original cover from the donor car has a zip going from the bottom all the way to the hook. Since the one from the donor car has a different pattern than mine and I would like to keep mine to match the rest of the seats. So fitting the frame with the "C" hook in the US ver, seat cover take a little bit effort. Once fitted into position. I cut the cover and the foam underneath to match the "C" hook and that's it.
