NEMOC Random BS Thread

Did some kayaking today.

Bought a cheap used Thule rack in Canada this past summer.

Modified it a little and been using it to transfer the kayak short distances.

Yup, had the dent fixed in Pensacola buy a local dent repair guy.

Might get them PCed in gold when I can get the chance.

Lol Mark.

That is awesome Bruce. Can only imagine the looks you get carrying a kayak on a Miata.

Nice roof rack! And I love the painted over NEPOC sticker! Subtle touch.

Went to the auto show this weekend and got to see the Miata RF in person. Really cool, and I actually fit pretty decently. Not sure I'd get a helmet on with the top down but I could enjoy driving it around. If the steering wheel would telescope toward me about 1" I would be in heaven. Lots of other cool cars at the show too. I was surprised how much I liked the Cadillac ATS. Its the model that got a lot of attention a few years ago, but sitting in one with a stick shift was like putting on a perfectly sized glove. The pedals were perfectly spaced with a floor hinge gas pedal that would make heal-toe shifting a breeze even for someone with big feet and log legs like me. I hate to say it, but I actually liked a Caddy.

Thanks. The nepoc sticker has been there since I pced the wheels in 2010.

I've always like the creased edge look of the caddy's lately except for the 2 door. Rear end is huge.

hah! That looks awesome with the kayak up top! I enjoyed the days when I was hauling bikes on my hitch rack in the miata.

We went back down to our favorite place for the weekend, Bend, Oregon. They just got hit with a ton of snow in the city proper and all of the roads were just ice which made them lots of fun in the forester.

This picture is from the parking lot at Mount Bachelor. When we were there thanksgiving weekend, the snow level in front of the car was just above the hood.

Then here is the Sister range from on our way out of the city. Broken Top and the Three Sisters, then Mt Bachelor all the way on the left

That's too cool

Stopped by treasure coast miata for a friend to pickup a header and driveshaft for a 91. And picked up a replacement carpet for me. Fun job for later this week.

Making weight?

You mean losing?

Put in the new/old carpet. Amazing what you find underneath. Coins small stones tiny crab.

Also found that the drivers seat bracing was broken. Attempted a fix, will see how long it holds. Recliner won't work. Looking for a used drivers seat.
New one in.

Nope, I meant making. My poor attempt at a wrestling joke.

I can only imagine the stuff Id find if I ripped out mine. Going to guess I woukdnt find a crab though. Id think that would smell after awhile?

Thats not good. Is it good enough for autox?

Loaded the wheels and tires into the CX5. Dropping them off at Moto-East in the morning to get the tires mounted.

Was looking for a way to access the rear coilovers settings. Some people posted a way which involved cutting holes in the plastic trunk panels and building a removable cover.

I created a small hole in the roof storage area.

Used a carpet plug for the hole.

thats a really clean and clever way to get to those settings! In mine I need to remove the spare tire and that panel on the left side in the trunk.

I went to Bruce's home land Saturday for some skiing and partying up at Whistler. Visibility became awful towards end of day but I managed to get a decent shot of the Blackcomb bowl

Hey. Pretty cool shot. I'm surprised they let you in the country. Must bring it back to my people when I return.

Great job Bruce! Looks OEM.

Awesome picture Kyle!

Im going to start building an ark. So tired of the rain and grey skies. That said I got a ray of sunshine this morning. Found an NES Classic at the local Target after searching for almost 3 months.
