If I go in for the about 18k mile service (oil change i believe) do you think I should remove the test pipe before getting that done?

how is your dealer?

I personally wouldn't remove it, unless you know the ms3 end from end no mechanic would be able to tell. Unless it is like polished chrome or something!

Isn't it technically a federal offense to remove any emissions related objects??

Ha, listen to me talk, I'm running completely catless!!

id say take it off. Its better to look back and say wow i didnt have to take that off but i still have my warranty then to look back and go wow i really fu*$ed up and now i own a car with no warranty... its your call, but i know what i would do if i were you.

Theyre just going to do an oil change and tire rotation. In the past they said they won't void a warranty unless it caused something. Plus can they tell it doesn't have a cat?

The reason I take it there is that they have certain incentives if you get all your required maintenance done there.
