Clunking from front end in rhythm with turning wheel

On the way to work this morning, my MSP developed a clunk in the front end. It seems to be coming from the driver's side. We started to hear it when we were coasting, neither on the throttle or brake.

Then, we could hear it when on throttle, but not on brake. It clunks with the speed of the wheel, and not with the bumps. The sound is almost that of a CV joint when it's bad and going around a corner, or like a piece of something stuck in the wheel, but nothing obvious when I looked at it. Before this, it made no sound.

Any ideas?

Flaps, if you hear it specifically while turning, it's probably a wheel bearing.

Might be the same thing for you Jenn.

Its a pretty common noise/problem. I have not isolated mine just yet but its not my wheel bearing. Struts, balljoint or possibly CV.

So it's fixed. 2 lug nuts worked themselves loose somehow, even after being re-torqued numerous times since installation 6 months ago. Will monitor closely.
