door handles

i'm toying with the idea of changing the door handles to a different color. are these accessible by taking the door panel off?

or is there something else i have to do?

I know that youd have to take the hard black plastic peice off even to take a look at it. I have taken the door panels off more times than I can count and until you get that off, you will have no way of knowing. Seems like way to much trouble in my opinion.

Dont do it man. Lots of people pay money to have door handles MATCH their car, and you want to pay to make them different? I understand the desire to want to do something to your car to make it stand out more from all the rest of the MS3s but do it in a way that you can feel - like under the hood, that way its nto money lost to make your car look less sweet.

There's a picture floating around of a beautiful black mica in Japan with polished metal door handles.
It's quite sexy.
