PnP Standalone engine management

I need a list of how many people would be interested in a standalone solution for tuning these cars. The unit would provide complete control over all aspects of fuel, timing, cam timing, throttle plate control, and everything else you could think of. The unit would hooked in parallel with the factory ECU and the factory ecu would keep control of all CAN functions (gauges ect).

The unit we would be using would be the Hydra Nemesis.

These units are not currently in production. Initial pricing may vary from $1600 to $2200 or more. These units will allow far more tunability then any other unit on the market and will allow you to push your car to higher power levels more safely. The more people that show interest the more likely that this is going to happen.

Will any shop be able to tune this EMS or does the shop have to have someone and the software to tune this?

I'm interested but want to make sure it's worth my time.
For example with Xede there is only one shop here in Ga that has the software to tune it. None of there other shops around here want to because not enough people have the Xede EMS

any system you buy comes with the software to tune it so there shouldn't be a problem with a shop tuning a car at all unless they are bs'ing you because they don't want to bother.

Any shop should be able to tune it, the software is very easy to use and is availiable for download off the hydra website.
The autotune feature on this unit also works VERY well for tuning the fuel maps. Plug in your wideband, plug in your laptop and it starts tuning, all you have to do is drive and remember to save the map when you are done.
 
Is this one of those standalones that you set up half way, go drive it around while it learns the tune, finish the installation, and then adjust the tune that it picks up on? Also, how well will that auto-tune function work on the direct injection? This car deffinately needs a standalone to climb up substantially in numbers, but I don't know that I could set up all the maps and correction maps and everything from scratch.
 
well basically being a PNP there will be some sort of map on there to get the car to run, then you can setup the auto-tune to tune it itself or you can tune it completely by yourself or your tuner shop. Aric runs it on his MSM.
 
What's the deal with CEL's/MIL's? Will this thing be able to fool dmv? Most states require plug into the ecu.
