Recommended fuel at high altitude

Hi everyone,
New to the forum. Just bought a 2007 CX-7 with 19K miles on it yesterday. Love the purchase so far.

I'm wondering about fuel for those of us at high altitude. I live just outside of Denver (about a mile high). Our "regular" gas here is 85 Octane, not 87. Since 91 is required for the 2007 CX-7s, and 89 is typically considered "premium" here, is using 89 Octane OK? If you're at high altitude and/or in cold weather, is using premium gas still a requirement?

Thanks guys.

use the highest octane you can get and you should be ok... air density and fuel atomization is different at high altitudes than lower altitudes, hence why the octane is lower to help combustion better... it's also cheaper for them to produce and make money ;)
