this should be a good thread. also theres a long thread about a longer spark plug that fits our fs-de motors (ngk if i recall correctly) and people have given good feedback
 
I was just thinking that maybe we could get some numbers and find out what the top 5 plugs are.

Anyone tried Iridiums?
I tried the ngk iridium IX's for FS-DE. Ehh, nothing but more money from wallet. No better mpg, same as the oem BKR5s. The ZFR5s made a noticeable difference in smooth idle but mpg no different than the others. Kind of a wash. Not willing to try any others. Have had Toyotas for 30 years & have found that Japanese cars not to fond of anything other than ngk or nippondenso (aka denso now days). Anything else basically was toast real quick. I tried all kind of different splitfire this & 4 tip that, all BS.

MPG increase/decrease=increase but not really noticeable
Power increase/decrease=smoother acceleration
Response increase/decrease=smoother acceleration

because you put BRAND NEW stock plugs in!
 
Exactly. Of course they were an improvement. They were new.lol

Gasoline does the same thing to my car. I put more in and it continues to run.
