Hope maybe someone can help me identify this noise, just started today. When I accelerate from a dead stop there is a repeating metal squeal coming from what sounds like the right front wheel. The repititions increase with speed as I accelerate. My first thought was worn pads.....but the noise is there whether I'm braking or not. Any ideas? Thanks.

it can still be the wear indacators tabs for the pads, the heat sheald could be bent and touching the rotor, bad bearing, bad axle.. start with the easyest fix frist, pad, check the inside pad, it tends to wear faster the the outside one and is the one you cant see very well, then check the tabs on the pads, if your pads have these.., look for anything touching rubbing etc the rotors, worn marks, etc are good clues..make sure their is no play in the bearings by moving the hub up/down in/out -easyest to do this with wheel on, and that wheel of the ground (jacked up) axles dont often make grinding noises, mostly clicking and poping..
