07 3GT Aftermarket stereo equipment w/ stock deck

Hey,

So I have a 2007 3 GT Sedan; excellent car -- I'm quite happy with it.

Only thing is I want to upgrade the stereo a bit as I really enjoy music

I've been trying to research this but I havn't been having a lot of luck.

I'm wondering how possible it is to keep the stock deck/headunit but upgrade the speakers, install an amp(s) and a good sub. I'm not super familiar with car audio/electronics and I'm wondering if it's at all possible to do this or is an aftermarket deck pretty much a requirement if you want to install more/better equipement?

use the search function man... i hate to be a prick but there are probably 3 dozen threads about this exact same thing.

its called a Line Out Converter (loc) or you buy an amp with speaker level inputs. it can be done and its relatively easy and common now a days with integrated systems like the mazda 3 has.
