I'm guessing it doesn't hurt the paint or leave any residue?

It looks like painters tape so it should not hurt anything.

nice. Have fun and be safe. I have had my MS3 for 4 days and a ******* truck ran off the road and a rock hit my car and chipped the paint . The chip is the size of a ballpoint pen tip.
