POLL: Flickering A/C solution

It will only work temporarily. Only solution that works long term is to solder the connections together

I just did this and it seems to have worked, but the whole wire harness looked in pretty rough shape. It looks partially melted, and considerably corroded. I was not able to get the individual wires out to clean them or their housings, so I did the best I could with scraping clean what I could with a toothpick. Again, that alone seems to have helped, but I'm not sure for how long. At any rate, thanks a ton for the solution!

Amazing thread. I've had this problem for as long as I could remember on setting 2 but never dealt with it until I read this thread the other day.
Super easy fix, and very helpful pic marking out which wire controls which setting!
