Lights not blinking with remote keyless - solved

I can't remember if I've posted about this already. Anyway, a few times I've noticed that the side markers didn't blink when I locked the car using the remote keyless. I figured something was iffy in the electronics.

Then someone whose car isn't even a Mazda suggested that it might do this when one of the doors isn't all the way closed, so that you'll know that one of the doors isn't all the way closed. And it turns out they're right.

Did others already know this?

i noticed that when you lock it twice if the 2nd time it dosent honk it means one of the doors rnt closed all the way

Yep, no lights any time, and no horn the second time. No response at all.

Yes it's true. My rear hatch wouldn't close all the way. I adjusted one of the rubber stoppers and it solved it.
