AC acting up...?

Hey, I was wondering if any would know why my AC works on number 1 and 4 but not 2 and 3 for the fan?

Any ideas?

It is a known issue. Take your car in if you can. It has to do with the circuit board sending wrong signals.

i took mine in for that and the dealer wouldnt do s***, that part is like $400 canadian
 
Me? Same issue - but if i 'wiggle' the switch - it comes on. Don't buy a junkyard unit - buy new. This issue is edemic to Proteges. :(

I keep wiggling or put it on high and then low (avoid 2 and 3 positions).

I think it's like $180something USD from protegegarage or onlinemazdaparts.com

My solution was to just disconnect the A/C compressor so I know it's never turning on. Now I can use the windshield blower ducts without sapping power (alright)
