the way i did my measurements was

take a rule ( i used a metal one very precise) put the trans in N
lay the ruler on the top of the stick shift so it is flat
now slide the ruler till it hits the dash
hold the ruler still mark wear N is
and shift from N to 3rd now mark it
and then do the same for 4th

then compare them to my measurements
I'm not saying mine is the best
just cheaper $
but not in the quality

i got that from another forum
do not know how precise it is
he did his a little diff
i marked wear N was then wear 3rd was then 4th
then measured between N & 3rd N & 4th 3rd & 4th
