Racing Seats

Note that the passenger side seat may rub on the side pillar of your car due to the design of the passenger-side bracket, but they are the only ones you can get.

Well, those, and the Wedge Engineering brackets that actually bolt the seats to the car...

does wedge make their own brackets, or do they just put together the sparco units?
Or do they use the sparco bases and build the adapters ?

i checked wedge's website and here is the protege listing:

Driver Passenger
PROTEGE 2044 2045

From sparco:

Seat Hardware Kit: Sparco 50001
Seat Base Driver: Sparco 5002044
Seat Base Passenger: Sparco 5002045

Seat Slider: Sparco 493

Seat Bracket Adapter: Sparco 500

So, after rocking these seats for a year, how do you like them? Would you buy again? I have a slight tear in my drivers seat, and it is annoying me.

so apparently wedge makes the seat bases for sparco.

my bases that i got from sparco were spa 5002044 and spa 5002045.

the bases i received had a wedge engineering sticker on them.

Correct..Sparco does not make adapters....Wedge does.

No..the wedge adapters are the bases...Sparco makes their sliders I do believe.

well i think we are just mixing up terminology.

the protege "bases" are listed as sparco 5002044 and sparco 5002045.

the base to seat adapter, the "adapter" is listed as sparco 500 and is a universal piece.

the sliders are listed as sparco 493 and are also universal pieces.

Yes..you are right...Three pieces...two from Sparco..and the base from WEDGE Engineering.
I have had three sets of torino's..Youd think I could remember this crap..LOL!
