passenger airbag light

Hi,
Kindof a silly question,but gonna ask it. The passenger airbag off light,is it supposed to come on then off while driving? I never payed attention to it before. I was sitting at a light noticed it was on,then looked down again it was off. Then bout 30 seconds later it was on,then off..So,I'm not sure if its telling me something wrong with side air bag or if its just normal and I'm freakin paranoid..
I'd call dealer,but its sunday and they not there..thnks

If the light comes on, that means there is something on the seat but not heavy enough to activate the airbag. If the seat is empty, the light will stay off (passenger airbag disabled even though the light isn't on).

Ahh, k I didn't really know that,and thats nice to know. I had a bunch of groceries on the seat. That would make that issue make sence. Thanks for the info..

Yeah I think it has to be 50 lbs.
