03 LX Protege
Hey I was wondering if anyone knew if the 17x7.5 rota subzeros will fit the 03 LX protege, and if 7.5 is too wide and will cause some rubbing? Also if any one has pics of the Subzeros on their protege I'd appreciate you posting em up.

I only have rubbing issues with the rear tires over large bumps with passengers in the back seat with my 215/45/17 tires. This is with a 1.5" drop in the rear. Offset is +48mm

You will also need to enlarge the center hole a bit to clear the hub. Any competent machine-shop can do this for a minimal fee. And by doing this the Rota centercap won't fit anymore... but who cares lol?

my falkens are 7.5 and the rears rub ALL the time. not sure of the offset but i wouldnt recommend my set up. im dropped on s tech with 215 40 17

Thanks everyone! Considering the issues I might just stay away from these and pick up a pair of 16x7's instead.

I have 17"x7.5" subzero's on my 2000 Protege. The rears rubbed occasionaly with 215/45/17 Wanli S-1099 with Mazda Protege MP3 springs when taking very fast turns or with larger people in the back seat. I just bought some Falken Ziex 512's in 215/40/17 and they have WAY more room under the fender. It's actually pretty shocking how a 215 tire by one manufacturer can be more like a 225 by a different manufacturer. My offset is +45 and the fenders have been rolled slightly with a rubber mallet (when I had the Wanli tires installed). The 215/45/17 Wanli tires also rubbed a little at the top of the fender where it flares out from the body. The passenger side rubbed more than the driver side.

Here are some older pics from last year (with 215/45/17) before I had the lip of the wheels polished.
