Transmission use question

Just a quick question, that has come to mind, and want to make sure I am thinking clearly on this.
If you have the automatic transmission in fully automatic mode, and then decide you want to switch to say a lower gear manually, as oppossed to say dropping the pedal to make it downshift, could you move the gear selector while traveling, to the select mode, and then paddle down?, or do you have to make this selection before car is moving, on how you want to handle the shifting the car.

Thanks Stay safe

you can change the mode while driving, its an electronic sportshift tranny,so its made for it,when you ll do it,you will see the gear you are in appear on the dash board, and you can paddle as you wich...you can go back and forth from auto-to-manual as much as you want, dont be affraid...

If you would of got a manual shift you would not have this issue in the first place....LOL jk (ughdance)

Yep, the tranny is "smart" and thinks for you. If you pop it over at 20mph it'll magically go into 2nd gear. If you do it at 70mph it'll go into 4th gear.
