Jet V-force chip switch

So my friend used to have a 2005 lancer which he tried to give a little boost. He bought a couple different things for it got bored and bought an 02 trans am. Now the cars getting Repoed and it has a Vibrant cold air intake Jet V-force chip and several other little mostly worthless mods.

I happen to have a protege 02 that Jet V-force offers a chip for to.

So my question is basically this- Since the cars are so similar fwd 4cyl ect.. would the chip off his work on mine? I know there basically worthless gains anyway but still.

He bought a Lancer, an it's getting repoed...so he got a 02' trans am??? hmmmm, well to answer your question, no..it will not work. Also, I don't think they make a chip for the 3rd gen protege.

Sounds ridiculous I know, not even going to try to explain. But thanks anyway, to ebay I go.
