Maybe we can have a thread with the best pics from our autocrosses etc..?

Good call on the pics thread, I'll see if I can dig up some of the cool one's i've taken over the years.

Not really a good quality pic, but this is of me lifting the drivers front tire in my front engine rwd car. :p

^^ from sig: GXL -> Turbo II

but I thought you could stay in SM if it was an engine from the same manufacturer as the car?

Gutted maybe? I'm not really familiar w/ the Mod / Prepared rules

I'd have to check but what stuck out to me was that IIRC SM allows anything except dropping some random engine in.. it at least has to be from the same company as your original :p... anything past that is just downright crazy :D

SM still needs an interior. Light windows, etc etc.

I ran EM because my friends were running EM. Car is BP and SM2 legal as well. Just a T04E turbo on a 13bt/13b-rew homogulation(sp?). Full interior at this time, minus the speaker covers in the back.

This was taken at the South Carolina Region SCCA event at the State Fairgrounds back in June. I won SM that day, but my comptetion in this region for SM is mediocre at best (I don't win SM anywhere else). Everyone was lifting their rear wheel around this corner because there was a rather large hump right at the apex of the turn. It actually helped rotate the car into position quite nicely.

No weight in the front of the car + chassis flex + ginormous front sway bar =

Front Wheel Lift.

It is a very strange sensation, and it really works that other front tire. But the DL1 revealed some very interesting data. I think that particular section (the entry to the slalom) I was at 40mph pulling 1.1Gs.

My brother and I were going thru the data for about 2hrs last night.

Here's a few I have...I'll have more in a post right after.....the VW is the car I'm driving in topeka...that's me at Divs this year...

the blue car is my old 94 R with 245/45-16s on it ;) Ya they fit.....sorta...

Pics of the 96 R in action this year. The two big files are weekend #2 in AR for the pro (I cannot stress enough how badly I did lol)

And the smaller pics are from weekend #1 in AR for the tour (car was fantastic).

OK, my turn since we seem to be on the subject of wheel lifting autox pictures. I didn't actually take any of these though.
