Well i was doing some interior work and had to unbolt the seat belts in the rear of the car after i removed the rear panels. Well now that im done back there the seatbelts have retracted so I cant get it to release the belt so I can get the piece bolted back up behind the strut tower. Is there any trick to getting it to retract the seatbelt when un bolted?

ugh..... not again
please search in *this* section... I remember talking about it a couple of weeks ago

yeah, it's a ball sensor on the side of the retractor. it works with the momentum caused by abruptly stopping. also, there is an inertial sensor built into the side with the clock spring that causes it to lock if you pull out the webbing too fast. that's the one that drives me nuts...
