Mazda, which celebrates 75 years of automobile production this year, has appointed award-winning customer value management company Ion Group to be its contact centre partner for all marketing and customer care activity.

Mazda which prides itself on being the 'car maker customers can count on' has taken their excellent customer service one step further by commissioning Ion to work in partnership with their core marketing agencies to help deliver industry leading customer contact strategies that support the Mazda brand and maintain their pre-eminent position in terms of customer satisfaction.

Ion will provide contact support across all channels including phone, email, and SMS both for current customers and future prospects. They will manage lead generation campaigns, after-sales support and customer care.

Since the appointment of Ion, the service that Mazda receives has also extended to include activity for fleet. Mazda was one of the UK''s fastest growing fleet manufacturers last year as corporate sales soared by more than a third year-on-year.

This rapid growth has led Mazda to seek more marketing support, which Ion will provide in the form of database management, contact management, appointment booking and support services for their Regional Corporate Sales Managers. Ion's highly trained agents will also be working with their Fleet Sales specialists within the dealerships themselves, to provide support for this very active channel to market.
