Mazda to set up national distribution company in Russia

MOSCOW. March 29 - Mazda is ready to set up a national distribution company Mazda Motor Rus in Russia, which will commence operations in April this year. This was confirmed by Igor Shraiber, general director of the new company, at a Tuesday press conference in Moscow.

Mr. Shraiber said that by March 2007, Mazda is scheduled to have 22 dealers in Russia, with 29 centers. The company currently has 17 centers in Russia.

Mazda Rus plans to launch the Mazda5 minivan in Russia in 2006, and also two new models of the Mazda3. The company will also launch the Mazda BT-50 and the Mazda CX-7 in 2007.
 
well.. a lot of russians drive mazdas... guess from where they imported the cars until now ? :)
