Can I switch over to synthetic?

I already had an oil change done with dino oil at around 2k my car has +5k already. Should I do one more change with dino before I switch over or can I switch over to synthetic for this upcoming oil change. Also what is the board consensus on what synthetic oil to use? thanks all

My p5 burned synthetic, and not dino oil, its not gonna hurt anything I would watch it to make sure you dont have the same problem.

Doesnt mazda use a semisynthetic from the factory?

yes they do, a lot of people on the forums already have synthetic so you should be fine

ok cool. yea i meant to say semi synth not dino. but yea my only concern was if i should go one more oil change with semi synth before switching over to synthetic. thanks.

nah 5k is where i put my redline in... and as far as i know thats where most others put theirs in.

5k is fine to switch. Royal Purple is good stuff.
