Nope mine is as smooth as butta.
No my 5 has been very smooth and stable at hwy speeds. In fact I find it hard to stay below 80mph on the hwy. I love the drivetrain, like my 3 it is the smoothest, most stable ride I've ever had from any small car (including my other 5 Mazda's).
